Shrimp Mac n Cheese Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until smooth, cooking for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper until smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, shrimp, and cheese sauce. Mix until the macaroni is well coated.

  5. 5

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
