Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Sprinkle fresh rosemary on top.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly. Peel them if desired, then cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a paper towel. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 8

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt and paprika to taste.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

Slice the steak and serve it alongside a generous portion of fries. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

  2. 10

    Enjoy

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Steak Frites!
