Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix the crust ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted unsalted butter. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form the crust

Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and about 1 inch up the sides of a 9-inch springform pan.

  4. 4

    Bake the crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add sugar and sour cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and beat until well combined. Then, add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

  3. 7

    Incorporate eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition to ensure a smooth batter.

  4. 8

    Add flour

Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.

Baking the Cheesecake

  1. 9

    Pour filling into crust

Pour the cream cheese filling into the prepared crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  2. 10

    Bake the cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set and a slight jiggle remains. The edges should be lightly browned.

  3. 11

    Cool and chill

Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
