Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil and season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, approximately 450°F (232°C).

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Rosemary

During the last minute of cooking, add fresh rosemary sprigs on top of the steaks for flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water.

  2. 8

    Boil the Potatoes

Bring the pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add salt and cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes or until they are fork-tender.

  3. 9

    Cook the Garlic

In the last 5 minutes of boiling, add the peeled garlic cloves to the pot.

  4. 10

    Drain and Mash

Drain the potatoes and garlic. In the same pot, add butter and milk. Use a potato masher or hand mixer to mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.

  5. 11

    Season the Mashed Potatoes

Season the mashed potatoes with salt and black pepper to taste and mix well.
