Preparation of Wings
- 1
Clean the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
Frying the Wings
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the seasoned chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5
Drain the Wings
Use a slotted spoon to transfer the wings to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Preparing the Sauce
- 6
Melt the Butter
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- 7
Combine the Sauce Ingredients
Once melted, stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and honey. Mix well and heat until warm.
Coating the Wings
- 8
Toss the Wings in Sauce
Place the fried wings in a large bowl and pour the prepared sauce over them. Toss until the wings are thoroughly coated.
- 9
Serve
Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter and enjoy hot!
