Steak

Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Season both sides of the steaks with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Fries

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips for fries, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels. Carefully add a handful of potatoes to the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels. Season with salt immediately.

  5. 8

    Repeat

Continue frying the remaining potatoes in batches until all are cooked.

Garlic Butter

  1. 9

    Make the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 10

    Serve

Serve the garlic butter on top of the ribeye steaks when plated, allowing it to melt over the warm steak.
