Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Mix the ingredients until they form a dough. Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let It Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 6

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a 10-inch circle.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce

Place the rolled dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the surface of the dough.

  4. 8

    Add Cheese and Toppings

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add the pepperoni slices, bell peppers, and olives. You can also tear and scatter fresh basil leaves on top.

  5. 9

    Bake the Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 10

    Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
