Prepare the Glass
Rim a chilled cocktail glass with salt by running a lime wedge around the rim and then dipping it into a plate of salt.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, fresh lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake Well
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared cocktail glass. Make sure to leave any ice in the shaker.

Garnish the cocktail with a lime wheel on the rim of the glass.
