Final Assembly

Method

Brewing Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow them to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.

Making Raspberry Syrup

  1. 4

    Prepare Raspberries

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh raspberries, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water.

  2. 5

    Cook Mixture

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the raspberries break down and the sugar dissolves, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 6

    Strain Syrup

Remove from heat and strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds. Let the syrup cool.

Final Assembly

  1. 7

    Combine Tea and Syrup

In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea and raspberry syrup. Stir well to blend the flavors.

  2. 8

    Serve Over Ice

In glasses, fill with ice cubes (about 1 cup each) and pour the raspberry iced tea over the ice.

  3. 9

    Garnish

Add lemon slices and fresh mint leaves to each glass for garnish, to taste.
