Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine

Once the yeast is frothy, add it to the flour mixture along with olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  4. 4

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Topping Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Meats

While the dough is rising, cook the Italian sausage and ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.

  2. 7

    Prepare Bacon

In the same skillet, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove from heat and chop into smaller pieces.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 8

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.

  2. 9

    Shape Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down, and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  3. 10

    Spread Sauce

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the surface.

  4. 11

    Add Toppings

Layer the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add the cooked Italian sausage, ground beef, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and chopped bacon strips on top.

  5. 12

    Bake Pizza

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Serving

  1. 13

    Cool and Slice

Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Slice into wedges and serve hot.
