Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1-inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adding a slice of Irish cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  1. 4

    Toast the Buns

In a separate skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the burger buns cut-side down in the skillet and toast until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon slices, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
