Method

Preparing the Tea Base

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the saucepan.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener (Optional)

If you prefer sweet tea, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar or honey while the tea is still warm to dissolve completely.

Flavoring the Tea

  1. 5

    Add Lemon Juice

Pour in 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and stir well to combine.

  2. 6

    Add Mint Leaves

Incorporate 1 cup of fresh mint leaves into the tea mixture, allowing the flavors to infuse.

Chilling and Serving

  1. 7

    Chill the Tea

Transfer the tea to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until chilled.

  2. 8

    Prepare to Serve

In a glass, add 2 cups of ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.

  3. 9

    Garnish

Top the iced tea with lemon slices for garnish and additional flavor.
