Clam Strips

French Fries

Coleslaw or Cottage Cheese

Method

Clam Strips

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Clam Strips

In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until well combined.

  3. 3

    Coat the Clam Strips

Dip each clam strip first in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and finally coat them with bread crumbs.

  4. 4

    Fry the Clam Strips

In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the coated clam strips in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

French Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips.

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat oil in a separate frying pan over medium-high heat. Drain the potatoes and pat dry. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt.

Coleslaw

  1. 8

    Mix the Coleslaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots.

  2. 9

    Prepare the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth.

  3. 10

    Combine the Coleslaw

Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until well coated. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Cottage Cheese Option

  1. 11

    Serve the Cottage Cheese

Simply serve the cottage cheese in a bowl as a side option.
