Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prep the Jalapeños

While the sausage is cooking, slice the jalapeños in half, remove the seeds for less heat, and chop them into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Roasted Red Peppers

If using whole roasted red peppers, chop them into bite-sized pieces. If using jarred, drain them well.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Pizza Dough

Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the dough. Distribute the pepperoni slices, chopped jalapeños, and roasted red peppers on top. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 6

    Add Cheese

Evenly distribute the mozzarella cheese over the pizza to cover the toppings.

Baking

  1. 7

    Bake the Pizza

Transfer the assembled pizza onto a baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

Serving

  1. 8

    Slice and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into wedges and serve hot.
