Preparation of Topping
- 1
Chop the Tomatoes
Wash the fresh tomatoes and chop them into small, bite-sized pieces. Place them in a mixing bowl.

Season the Mixture
Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the tomato and basil mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
Preparation of Bread
- 5
Slice the Baguette
Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices on a diagonal.
- 6
Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the sliced baguette on a baking sheet. Brush each slice with olive oil on both sides.
- 7
Bake
Toast the bread in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
