Prepare the Ingredients
Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas. Peel the garlic clove.

Serve the Hummus
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and sprinkle with paprika. Set aside.
Falafel

Soak the Chickpeas
Soak the dry chickpeas in water overnight. Drain and rinse before using.

Prepare the Mixture
In a food processor, combine soaked chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Blend until a coarse mixture forms.

Shape the Falafel
Form the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1 inch in diameter.

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the falafel balls until golden brown on all sides, about 4-5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
