Brewing Instructions
- 1
Measure Water
Start by measuring 150 ml of cold water using a measuring cup. This will be the base for your coffee.
- 2
Add Coffee
In a cezve (the special pot used for Turkish coffee), add 2 tablespoons of finely ground Turkish coffee to the measured water.
- 3
Add Sugar (Optional)
If you prefer your coffee sweetened, add 1 teaspoon of sugar into the cezve with the coffee and water. Adjust the amount based on your taste.
- 4
Mix Ingredients
Stir the mixture gently with a spoon until the coffee grounds and sugar (if added) are well combined with the water. Do not stir once you start heating.
- 5
Heat the Cezve
Place the cezve over low heat on the stove. Allow the mixture to heat slowly, watching closely.
- 6
Create Foam
As the coffee heats, a foam will begin to form on the surface. Do not let it boil over. When it starts to bubble, remove it from heat.
- 7
Serve the Coffee
Carefully pour the coffee into a small cup, ensuring that the foam is evenly distributed. Allow the grounds to settle for a minute before drinking.
