Mint Lemonade Ingredients
Method
Mint Lemonade Directions
- 1
Prepare the Mint
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the fresh mint leaves. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional 10 minutes.
- 2
Juice the Lemons
While the mint is steeping, juice the lemons until you have about 1 cup of lemon juice. Strain the juice to remove seeds and pulp, if desired.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a large pitcher, combine the steeped mint water (remove the mint leaves), 1 cup of granulated sugar, and the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- 4
Add Water and Chill
Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.
- 5
Serve
To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled mint lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a mint sprig.
