Falafel Preparation

Soak Chickpeas
Place dried chickpeas in a bowl and cover with water. Soak overnight or for at least 8 hours.

Form Falafel Balls
Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1.5 inches in diameter.

Fry Falafel
In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the falafel balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Serve Hummus
Transfer hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil before serving.

Prepare Bulgar
In a bowl, combine bulgar wheat and boiling water. Cover and let sit for about 15 minutes until water is absorbed and bulgar is tender.

Prepare Pita
Warm pita bread in a toaster or oven for a few minutes until soft.

In a serving bowl, place a generous scoop of hummus, a few falafel balls, a serving of tabbouleh, and the warmed pita on the side. Enjoy!
