Produce

Method

Prepare Produce

1

Wash and prep

Thoroughly wash all produce under cool running water. Scrub the cucumber and apple to remove any residue. Remove kale stems and roughly chop leaves. Trim celery ends and chop into 1-inch pieces. Peel ginger and turmeric root with the edge of a spoon or paring knife. Core the apple and cut into quarters to ease blending/juicing.

2

If using a juicer: cut ingredients small enough to fit the chute. If using a blender: chop produce into smaller pieces to ensure smooth blending.

Juicing / Blending

3

Using a juicer

Feed the cucumber, apple, celery, kale, parsley, ginger, and turmeric through the juicer, alternating firmer and leafier items to help extraction. Collect juice in a pitcher. Add lemon juice, cold filtered water (or coconut water), and a pinch of black pepper; stir to combine. Taste and add honey or maple syrup if you prefer it slightly sweeter. Stir in ice cubes or pour over ice to chill.

4

Using a blender (preferred for fiber)

Place the chopped cucumber, apple, celery, kale, parsley, ginger, and turmeric into the blender. Add the juice of one lemon, 1 cup cold filtered water (or 1 cup coconut water), and the ice cubes. Blend on high until completely smooth (about 45–90 seconds). If the mixture is too thick, add an additional 1/4 cup water and blend again. Taste and add honey or maple syrup if desired, plus a pinch of black pepper to activate turmeric. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag into a bowl or pitcher if you prefer a smoother juice; press with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard pulp or reserve for smoothies or composting.

Finish & Serve

5

Give the juice a final stir, pour into two glasses, and serve immediately for maximum freshness and nutrient retention. Garnish with a thin cucumber ribbon or a sprig of parsley if desired. Consume within 24 hours; keep refrigerated.

6

Notes: The pinch of black pepper helps increase turmeric absorption. Adjust ginger and lemon to taste for more zing or brightness. Use coconut water for added electrolytes and a slightly sweeter profile.
