Method

Broth Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Broth

In a large pot, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, miso paste, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, and water. Heat over medium heat until the broth begins to simmer. Stir well to dissolve the miso paste completely.

  2. 2

    Simmer

Once the broth is simmering, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently for about 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Noodles and Assembly

  1. 3

    Cook the Ramen Noodles

While the broth is simmering, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes in boiling water. Drain and set aside.

  2. 4

    Prepare Soft-Boiled Eggs

In a small pot, bring water to a boil. Gently add the eggs and boil for 6-7 minutes for a soft yolk. Remove and place in cold water to stop cooking. Once cooled, peel and cut in half.

  3. 5

    Assemble the Ramen Bowls

In each serving bowl, add a portion of cooked ramen noodles. Ladle the hot broth over the noodles until they are submerged. Top with soft-boiled egg halves, sliced green onions, nori strips, bamboo shoots, and corn kernels. Drizzle sriracha on top if desired.
