Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a kettle, bring 2 cups of fresh water to a boil. Ensure that the water reaches a rolling boil for optimal extraction of the tea.

  2. 2

    Measure the Green Tea Leaves

While the water is boiling, measure out 2 teaspoons of high-quality green tea leaves and place them in a teapot or a tea infuser.

  3. 3

    Pour Boiling Water

Once the water has boiled, carefully pour it over the green tea leaves in the teapot or infuser.

  4. 4

    Steep the Tea

Allow the green tea to steep for 2-3 minutes. Adjust the steeping time according to your taste preference; longer steeping may result in a more robust flavor.

  5. 5

    Strain the Tea

If using loose tea leaves, strain the tea into cups to remove the leaves. If using an infuser, simply remove the infuser from the teapot.

  6. 6

    Add Optional Ingredients

If desired, add a teaspoon of honey for sweetness and a slice of lemon for a refreshing citrus note. Stir well to combine.

  7. 7

    Serve

Pour the hot green tea into your favorite tea cups and serve immediately. Enjoy the soothing and refreshing taste of your homemade green tea.
