Scoop the Ice Cream
In a tall glass, place 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream at the bottom.

Add the Soda
Slowly pour the root beer or black cherry soda over the ice cream until the glass is nearly full.

Top it Off
Add whipped cream on top of the float.

Garnish
Finish with a maraschino cherry on top and drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired.
