Chop Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil
Tear the fresh basil leaves into smaller pieces and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Mince Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Add the minced garlic to the tomato and basil mixture.

Season the Mixture
Sprinkle the salt and black pepper over the tomato mixture and mix gently to combine.

Slice Baguette
Cut the baguette diagonally into slices about 1-inch thick.

Toast Bread
Preheat an oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each slice of toasted bread.
