Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steaks

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil. Then, sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and black pepper evenly on both sides.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy frying pan over high heat until it is very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steaks

Place the steaks in the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip. Add the butter and rosemary to the skillet.

  5. 5

    Baste the Steaks

Tilt the skillet slightly and use a spoon to baste the steaks with the melted butter and rosemary for extra flavor.

  6. 6

    Check for Doneness

Cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer if necessary (130°F for medium-rare).

  7. 7

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.

  8. 8

    Serve

Slice the steaks against the grain and serve immediately.
