Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Start by rinsing the pork ribs under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better seasoning absorption.

  2. 2

    Make the Dry Rub

In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

Rub the dry rub mixture generously over both sides of the ribs, making sure to massage it into the meat. Wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill or Oven

Preheat your grill to medium heat (approximately 300°F or 150°C) or preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 5

    Cook the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on the grill or on a baking sheet in the oven. Cook for about 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender and the meat pulls away from the bone.

  3. 6

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until warmed through.

  4. 7

    Glaze the Ribs

During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the sauce over the ribs every 10 minutes to create a sticky glaze.

Serving

  1. 8

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill or oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
