Brewing the Tea

Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Steep the Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them.
Sweetening (optional)

If you prefer sweet tea, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar while the tea is still warm. Mix until fully dissolved.

Add Mint and Lemon
For added flavor, you can also muddle fresh mint leaves and add lemon slices to taste.
Chilling and Serving

Cool the Tea
Allow the brewed tea to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, you can refrigerate it until completely chilled.

In a glass, add 2 cups of ice cubes.

Pour 2 cups of the chilled tea over the ice cubes in the glass.
