Toast the Rolls
While the beef is cooking, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the sub sandwich rolls on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes or until they are lightly crispy.
- 3
Assemble the Sandwich
Once the beef is heated and the rolls are toasted, take one roll and layer it with half of the cooked Italian beef. Top it with 2 slices of American cheese. Repeat for the second roll.

Add Toppings
On top of the cheese, add ½ cup of shredded lettuce on each sandwich. Finally, drizzle 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise on top of the lettuce for added flavor.
- 5
Serve
Cut the sandwiches in half if desired, and serve immediately while warm.
