In a large pot over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Incorporate Seasonings
Stir in the chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the spices are fragrant.

Mix in Beans and Tomatoes
Add the kidney beans, black beans, and diced tomatoes (with their juice) to the pot. Stir to combine.

Pour in the beef broth and stir everything together. Bring the chili to a simmer.
