Method

Filling Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a large bowl, combine the julienned carrots, shredded cabbage, sliced bell pepper, chopped green onions, and minced garlic.

  2. 2

    Season the Filling

Add soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to the vegetable mixture. Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated in the seasoning.

Rolling the Spring Rolls

  1. 3

    Assemble the Spring Rolls

Take one spring roll wrapper and lay it flat on a clean, dry surface. Place about 2 tablespoons of the vegetable filling near the bottom edge of the wrapper.

  2. 4

    Roll the Wrapper

Fold the bottom edge of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to form a spring roll. Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Frying

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

  2. 6

    Fry the Spring Rolls

Gently place the spring rolls in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

  3. 7

    Drain and Serve

Once fried, remove the spring rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
