Method

Broth Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large pot, add the vegetable broth, miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Stir well until the miso paste is fully dissolved.

  2. 2

    Simmer

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

  3. 3

    Add Green Onions

Stir in the chopped green onions and remove the pot from heat. Set the broth aside to keep warm.

Noodle Preparation

  1. 4

    Cook Ramen Noodles

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions, usually about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Prepare Toppings

While the noodles are cooking, prepare the toppings. Soft-boil the eggs (boil for 6-7 minutes, then cool in ice water and peel). Cut nori into squares and rinse the bean sprouts.

Assemble Ramen

  1. 6

    Combine Broth and Noodles

In serving bowls, divide the cooked ramen noodles evenly. Pour the hot miso broth over the noodles.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

Top each bowl with soft-boiled eggs, nori squares, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, a drizzle of chili oil, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

  3. 8

    Serve Hot

Serve the miso ramen hot and enjoy!
