Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brussel Sprouts

Trim the ends of the brussel sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Cut each sprout in half lengthwise.

  2. 2

    Toast the Almonds

In a dry skillet over medium heat, add the chopped almonds. Toast them for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

Make the Glaze

  1. 3

    Mix the Glaze Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Sauté the Brussel Sprouts

In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the brussel sprouts cut side down and sauté for about 5 minutes until they begin to brown.

  2. 5

    Add the Glaze

Pour the miso maple glaze over the brussel sprouts. Stir to coat evenly and continue to cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the sprouts are tender and the glaze is caramelized.

Serve

  1. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the brussel sprouts from heat, sprinkle with the toasted almonds, and serve warm. Enjoy your Maple Glazed Brussel Sprouts!
