Prepare the Brussel Sprouts
Trim the ends of the brussel sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Cut each sprout in half lengthwise.

Toast the Almonds
In a dry skillet over medium heat, add the chopped almonds. Toast them for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

Mix the Glaze Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.

Sauté the Brussel Sprouts
In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the brussel sprouts cut side down and sauté for about 5 minutes until they begin to brown.

Add the Glaze
Pour the miso maple glaze over the brussel sprouts. Stir to coat evenly and continue to cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the sprouts are tender and the glaze is caramelized.
