Method

Preparing the Filet Mignon

  1. 1

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (around 450°F to 500°F) to ensure a nice sear on the filet mignon.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the filet mignon with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and season generously with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grilling the Steak

Place the seasoned filet mignon on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the filet mignon from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Preparing the Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and trim the asparagus, peel and slice the carrots, and slice the zucchini into rounds.

  2. 6

    Season the Vegetables

In a bowl, toss the asparagus, carrots, and zucchini with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 7

    Grilling the Vegetables

Place the seasoned vegetables on the grill alongside the filet mignon for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are tender and have grill marks.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, place the rested filet mignon alongside the grilled seasonal vegetables. Serve immediately.
