Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 2
Prepare the Ribs
Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
- 3
Mix the Dry Rub
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and dried thyme. Mix well.
- 4
Apply the Dry Rub
Rub the dry rub mixture generously over both sides of the ribs. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
Cooking
- 5
Bake the Ribs
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Cover with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- 6
Make the BBQ Sauce
While the ribs are baking, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens, about 15 minutes.
