Beef Burger

French Fries

Method

Beef Burger

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burgers

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a cheese slice on each patty and cover to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. Place a patty on the bottom half of each bun, top with lettuce, tomato slices, ketchup, and mustard, then cover with the top half of the bun.

French Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 7

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 8

    Dry the Potatoes

Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a clean kitchen towel.

  4. 9

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 175°C (350°F).

  5. 10

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potatoes in batches to the hot oil and fry them for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 11

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Season with salt while hot.
