Method
Beverages
- 1
Boiling Water
Pour 4 cups of water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
- 2
Brewing the Tea
Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from the heat. Add 4 tablespoons of loose black tea leaves or 4 tea bags to the hot water. Stir gently to mix.
- 3
Steeping
Let the tea steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength. The longer you steep, the stronger the tea will be.
- 4
Straining the Tea
After steeping, strain the tea to remove the leaves or remove the tea bags. If you prefer a sweeter tea, add sugar or your chosen sweetener while the tea is still warm, stirring until dissolved.
- 5
Cooling the Tea
Allow the brewed tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it for at least 1 hour or until thoroughly chilled.
- 6
Serving
To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled tea over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves to taste.
