Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 2

    Crush the Corn Flakes

Place the corn flakes in a zip-lock bag and crush them into small pieces using a rolling pin or your hands. Transfer the crushed corn flakes to a shallow dish.

  3. 3

    Dip the Challah

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. While the skillet is heating, take one slice of challah bread and dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Then, immediately coat the dipped bread in the crushed corn flakes, pressing gently to help them adhere.

  4. 4

    Cook the French Toast

Once the butter is melted and bubbling, carefully place the coated challah slice in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the remaining slices of challah, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once all slices are cooked, serve them warm with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar on top.
