Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
- 2
Mix the Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, large egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 3
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.
- 4
Heat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a little butter to the pan to grease it lightly.
- 5
Cook the Pancakes
For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2-3 minutes), then flip and cook the other side until golden brown (another 1-2 minutes).
- 6
Serve
Remove the pancakes from the skillet and keep warm. Serve with your favorite toppings such as syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.
