Steak

Mâitre d’Hôtel Butter

French Fries

Sautéed Spinach

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the rib-eye steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Once hot, place the steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time according to your preferred doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Making Mâitre d’Hôtel Butter

  1. 4

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, chopped parsley, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Mix until well blended.

  2. 5

    Shape the Butter

Transfer the butter mixture onto a piece of parchment paper, roll it into a log shape, and refrigerate until firm.

Preparing the French Fries

  1. 6

    Cut the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).

  2. 7

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain the potatoes and dry them thoroughly. Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, seasoning with salt to taste.

Sautéing the Spinach

  1. 9

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  2. 10

    Cook the Spinach

Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and sauté until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
