Appetizers

Method

Appetizers

  1. 1

    Prep skewers

Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

  2. 2

    Preheat grill

    Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F / 190-205°C).

  3. 3

    Make marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil (1 tbs), minced garlic (2 cloves), lemon juice (1 tbs), salt (0.5 tsp), and black pepper (0.25 tsp). Add peeled and deveined shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Skewer shrimp

Thread 4 shrimp onto each of the two skewers, arranging them in a single layer for even cooking.

  5. 5

    Baste and sauce

Brush the skewered shrimp lightly with house-made steak sauce, reserving a portion for basting during grilling.

  6. 6

    Grill shrimp

Place skewers on the grill. Cook 2-3 minutes per side, turning once, until shrimp are opaque and pink and have a slight char. Baste with steak sauce during the last minute of cooking.

  7. 7

    Finish and serve

Remove from grill, baste with any remaining sauce, let rest 1-2 minutes, and serve with lemon wedges.
