Preheat the broiler to high and position the oven rack 4–6 inches from the heat.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper to create a bright lemon-butter baste.

Pat the catfish fillet dry with paper towels. Lightly brush all sides with olive oil to help the baste stick.

Place the catfish fillet on a lightly greased broiler pan. Brush the top with about half of the lemon-butter baste.

Broil for 6–8 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily. Halfway through, brush on the remaining lemon-butter baste.

Remove from the oven. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
