Infused Tequila

Cocktail Components

Method

Infusing the Tequila

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peppers

Slice the dried red chili peppers and fresh jalapeños in half lengthwise, removing seeds if you prefer less heat.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a clean glass jar, combine the organic tequila with the sliced peppers. Ensure the peppers are fully submerged in the tequila.

  3. 3

    Infusion Time

Seal the jar tightly and let it infuse in a cool, dark place for 3 to 7 days. Shake the jar gently every day.

  4. 4

    Strain the Tequila

Once infused to your desired spice level, strain the tequila through a fine mesh sieve into a clean bottle, discarding the peppers.

Mixing the Cocktail

  1. 5

    Prepare Glass

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.

  2. 6

    Combine Ingredients

Add 50 ml of the infused tequila, 50 ml of ginger liqueur, 30 ml of fresh lime juice, and 15 ml of agave syrup into the shaker.

  3. 7

    Shake it Up

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients.

  4. 8

    Serve

Strain the mixture into a chilled glass. Optionally, garnish with a slice of lime or a whole chili pepper for presentation.
