Stuffing Bites

Method

Stuffing Bites Preparation

  1. 1

    Sauté the Onions

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

While the onions are caramelizing, cut the sourdough bread into small cubes, approximately 1-inch in size. Place the bread cubes in a large mixing bowl.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Once the onions are caramelized, add them to the bowl with the bread cubes. Pour in the chicken broth, beaten egg, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until everything is evenly combined.

  4. 4

    Wrap with Bacon

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Take a spoonful of the stuffing mixture and form it into a small ball. Wrap a piece of pecanwood bacon around each stuffing ball and secure it with a toothpick.

  5. 5

    Bake the Bites

Place the bacon-wrapped stuffing bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the stuffing is heated through.

Candied Ginger Aioli Preparation

  1. 6

    Mix the Aioli

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, finely chopped candied ginger, lemon juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth and well blended.

  2. 7

    Chill

Cover the aioli and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
