Braised Thai BBQ Pork Belly

Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, fish sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, chili paste, lime juice, and water until well combined.

Marinate the Pork
Place the pork belly in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Braised Cooking
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Transfer the marinated pork belly to a roasting pan, cover with foil, and braise in the oven for 3 hours.

Finish and Slice
Remove from the oven, let rest for 10 minutes, then slice into bite-sized pieces.
Soft Steamed Chinatown Buns

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, instant yeast, baking powder, and salt.

Add Wet Ingredients
Add warm water and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Let it rest in a greased bowl, covered with a damp cloth, for 1 hour.

Shape and Steam
Divide the dough into small pieces, shape into buns, and place on parchment paper squares. Steam in a steamer basket over boiling water for about 10-12 minutes.
Honey Roasted Peanuts

Prepare the Peanuts
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread raw peanuts on a baking sheet.

Roast and Glaze
Roast the peanuts for 10-12 minutes until golden. Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with honey and sprinkle with salt. Toss to coat evenly.

Let the peanuts cool before chopping them roughly for garnish.
Ginger Cabbage Slaw

Mix the Vegetables
In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrot.

In a small bowl, whisk together grated ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, and salt.

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss to combine and let sit for at least 15 minutes before serving.
