Fried Chicken

Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add the chicken pieces, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Prepare for Frying
In a separate bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Chicken
Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess buttermilk to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, coating thoroughly. Fry the chicken in batches for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Belgian Waffles

Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Prepare the Waffles
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
Sriracha-Bourbon Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine sriracha, bourbon, honey, soy sauce, and lime juice. Heat over medium heat until warmed through, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cinnamon Honey Butter

In a small bowl, combine softened butter, honey, and cinnamon. Mix until well blended. Transfer to a serving dish.
