Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Toast the Almonds

In a dry skillet over medium heat, add the sliced almonds. Toast them for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Oats

In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the steel cut oats and salt. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for about 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are tender and the mixture has thickened.

  3. 3

    Add Blueberries and Brown Sugar

Once the oats are cooked, stir in the dried blueberries and brown sugar. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the blueberries to plump up.

  4. 4

    Serve

Spoon the oatmeal into bowls, drizzle with cream, and top with the toasted almonds. Serve hot and enjoy!
