Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Figs

In a small saucepan, combine the dried figs, balsamic vinegar, and a splash of water. Simmer on low heat for about 5-7 minutes until the figs are soft and have absorbed some of the vinegar. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Goat Cheese

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the goat cheese on a baking dish and bake for about 10-15 minutes until soft and slightly golden.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Baguette

While the cheese is baking, drizzle the sliced baguette with olive oil and toast it in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

Once the goat cheese is baked, remove it from the oven and sprinkle the crushed pistachios on top. Drizzle with honey and season with freshly ground black pepper.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the baked goat cheese warm with the balsamic figs and toasted baguette slices on the side.
