Cake Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Beat Eggs and Sugar
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar with an electric mixer on high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.

Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cake
Let the cake cool completely in the baking dish.

Chill
Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Strawberry Sauce Preparation

Prepare Strawberries
In a saucepan, combine fresh strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice.

Cook Sauce
Cook over medium heat until the strawberries release their juices and the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Assembly

Serve
Cut the tres leches cake into squares and serve with a generous drizzle of strawberry sauce on top. Garnish with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
