Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). This will ensure that the cheese melts perfectly on the nachos.
- 2
Prepare the Tortilla Chips
Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet. Make sure they are in a single layer for even melting.
Assembling Nachos
- 3
Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the tortilla chips. Ensure that the cheese covers most of the chips for maximum flavor.
- 4
Add Jalapeños
Evenly distribute the sliced jalapeños over the cheese-covered nachos. Adjust the amount to your spice preference.
Baking
- 5
Bake the Nachos
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
- 6
Top with Guacamole
Once out of the oven, dollop the guacamole over the hot nachos. Optionally, you can also add sour cream and chopped cilantro for extra flavor.
- 7
Serve Immediately
Serve the nachos hot with extra jalapeños, guacamole, or sour cream on the side.
