Method

Prepare the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Clean the Shrimp

Rinse the extra jumbo black tiger shrimp under cold water and remove the shells, leaving the tails intact. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the cleaned shrimp and toss to coat them evenly. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Skewer the Shrimp

Thread each shrimp onto a skewer, making sure to pierce them through the thick part and the tail to secure them properly.

Prepare the Veggie Sticks

  1. 4

    Cut the Veggies

Peel the carrot and cut it into thin sticks. Cut the cucumber and bell pepper into similar-sized sticks to create a cohesive presentation.

Cook the Shrimp

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan or skillet, heat about 1-2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 6

    Flash Fry the Shrimp

Once the oil is hot, carefully place the shrimp skewers in the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

  3. 7

    Remove from Heat

After cooking, carefully remove the shrimp skewers from the pan and let them rest for a minute.

Serve the Dish

  1. 8

    Plate the Shrimp and Veggies

Arrange the cooked shrimp skewers on a serving plate alongside the fresh veggie sticks. Serve immediately while hot.
